Marítimo guaranteed that it did not paint the grass at the Barreiros Stadium green. The Madeiran club clarified that it is carrying out an "intervention" on the stadium's green carpet, but that it is not a matter of any painting.

The question arose after concerns regarding the state of the field's grass. The club is working in coordination with the Portuguese Professional Football League in order to improve the conditions of the green carpet.
