The Polytechnic University of Viana do Castelo, formerly known as IPVC, consolidated its internationalization strategy through the creation of new dual degree programs with higher education institutions in Brazil. This cooperation covers the areas of Product Design and Electronics and Automotive Electrification, joining the existing joint pathways in Computer Engineering and Cybersecurity.
The signing of the agreements took place during the 12th Seminar on Teaching, Research, Extension and Innovation of IFSC, held in Santa Catarina and featuring, for the first time, the participation of international representatives in its activities. The Vice-Rector of UNIPVC, Ana Paula Vale, emphasized that a dual degree allows students to build an academic pathway between two institutions and two countries, benefiting from different training contexts and obtaining qualifications recognized by both.
This investment in international dual degree programs aims to attract talent and strengthen technical, scientific and cultural exchange between Portugal and Brazil. At the same time, this expansion accompanies the evolution of the Minhota institution to the status of Polytechnic University, demonstrating its commitment to internationalization and academic quality.
