Public transport in Portugal recorded an increase in passengers during the period under analysis, according to available data. However, this positive trend was not observed across the entire metro network in the country.
The subway was the exception, with ridership decreasing for the third consecutive quarter. This sustained decline contrasts with the growth seen in the other public transport modes.
Regarding freight transport, the data indicates a decrease in both rail and road transport. This reduction affected both main modes of land freight transport.
