Mota-Engil consortium in the race for the construction of the new metro line in Bogotá

A consortium led by Portuguese construction company Mota-Engil has expressed interest in participating in the construction of Line 2 of the Bogotá Metro in Colombia. The Mota-Engil consortium is composed of Mota-Engil Colombia, Mota-Engil Engenharia e Construção África, Mota-Engil México, and the French Spie Batignolles Génie Civil. The requests will be evaluated to verify compliance with legal, financial, and experience requirements, followed by the submission of financial and technical proposals by the end of the year. Contract signing and the start of works are scheduled for the second half of 2027, with a 15.5 km extension and 11 stations.
