Paredes will celebrate the European Week of Sport between September 23 and 30 with a program that includes dozens of activities aimed at different ages and audiences, such as walks, dance, pilates, zumba, functional training, cross training and hydrogymnastics. The goal is to encourage the practice of physical exercise and promote more active lifestyles among the municipality's population.
The opening is scheduled for September 23 at the City Park of Paredes, with a Mega Intergenerational Dance Class and a Power Training session. On that same day, the new season of the "Paredes Ativo" and "Mais Vida Ativa" programs begins at the Rota dos Móveis Pavilion.
The program includes activities in various spaces throughout the municipality, including the Inclusive Sport Showcase, the European Day of Sport at School with a large-scale Physical Education class, and a training action on sport with values, equality, inclusion and mental health. At the Lordelo Municipal Pool, a Mega Hydro by Night Class takes place, while in Rebordosa a walk is planned at Rio Ferreira Park as part of the "Train With Us" project.
Among the additional initiatives, the intermunicipal meeting "Handball Walking" for seniors over 50, a Sunset Pilates session and a Workplace Gymnastics class stand out. The European Week of Sport ends on September 30, the date on which the activities of the new season of the "+ Paredes" program, aimed at municipal council employees, will also be concluded.
