Lisbon meets limit value for air quality

Data for 2025 confirm a positive evolution in air quality in Lisbon. The city meets the annual limit value for nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) at all stations of the Air Quality Monitoring Network.

This information was released by the Lisbon City Council, which highlights this compliance as a significant milestone in the environmental monitoring of the Portuguese capital.

However, the association ZERO and the Portuguese Council for Health and the Environment warn that this compliance with limit values does not specifically result from public policies promoting air quality improvement measures.
