The French startup Mistral secured a new record investment in Europe, raising three billion euros. This funding elevates the company's valuation to 21 billion euros, consolidating its position as one of the most valuable scale-ups on the continent.
Samsung emerges as one of the main supporters of this investment round. Together with the Dutch company ASML, Samsung constitutes one of Mistral's largest investors, demonstrating the interest of major Asian tech companies in the European firm.
Mistral competes directly with American tech giants in the artificial intelligence sector. The company is led by Arthur Mensch, who managed to position the French startup as a European alternative to the main players in the American AI market.
