The newly inaugurated Variant to EN211, between Quintã and Mesquinhata, was presented as an important milestone for the municipality of Baião. The mayor of Baião Municipality, Ana Raquel Azevedo, stated that the significance of the work "far exceeds its dimension or the number of kilometers built", highlighting that its true value cannot be measured only by the meters of road completed.
The mayor highlighted the strategic importance of the road for improving the quality of life of the local population and for the regional development of the territory. The variant emerges as a response to the mobility and connectivity needs of the region, contributing to facilitate travel between the localities involved.
The investment in the Variant to EN211 is part of a broader strategy to enhance road infrastructure in the Porto district, the area where the municipality of Baião is located. The completion of this work represents a significant step in strengthening the local road network, with direct impact on the living conditions of residents and on access to services and economic activities in the region.
