DAZN has renewed for three more seasons the broadcasting rights for the Formula 1 World Championship in Portugal and Spain, extending the competition's presence on the platform until the end of 2030. With this renewal, the platform will concentrate four major motorsport competitions with events in national territory: Formula 1, MotoGP and the WorldSBK rounds in Portimão and Estoril.
João Diogo Ferreira, general director of DAZN Portugal, stated that renewing Formula 1 until 2030 is a clear demonstration of the platform's ambition in motorsport in Portugal. Óscar Vilda, CEO of DAZN Iberia, considered Formula 1 "one of the pillars" of the platform's sports offering.
From 2027, DAZN will be able to combine Formula 1 and MotoGP in a single package, after recently acquiring the exclusive broadcasting rights for the motorsport competition. The platform will continue to broadcast all grand prix, including practice sessions, qualifying and races, with specialized commentary in Portuguese.
In addition to these competitions, DAZN also has Formula 2, Formula 3, F1 Academy and Porsche Supercup, and also holds the exclusive rights to the World Superbike Championship in Portugal until 2031.
