The Minister of Internal Administration, Luís Neves, is being heard in Parliament this Tuesday, at a regimental hearing in the Committee on Constitutional Affairs, Rights, Liberties and Guarantees. The hearing takes place before the debate and vote on a motion of no confidence presented by the Chega party. Luís Neves said he will leave his position "when the Government ends or when the prime minister decides", thus making clear that he does not intend to resign voluntarily. The moment of the hearing comes in a context of political tension, with Chega's motion of no confidence being discussed and voted on in the same parliamentary session.
