Porcelanosa offers the first data on its participation in the Cersaie fair

Porcelanosa Grupo announced its participation in the next edition of Cersaie, the leading international fair for the ceramic and bathroom equipment sector. The company, based in Vila-real, in Spain, is considered one of the representative firms of the Spain Brand.

The event will reach its 43rd edition and will be held from September 21 to 25, 2026 at the exhibition center in Bologna, Italy. The company will present its latest novelties at stand A296-B198 in pavilion 26.

Professionals and visitors will be able to discover firsthand the new proposals from Porcelanosa through a journey through different aesthetic languages, according to the company.

Only construction and technology are creating more companies this year. Insolvencies increase by 1.3%

Between January and August 2026, 36,124 companies were created in Portugal, 3% fewer than in the same period of 2025, according to the Informa D&B Barometer. The decline is across the board in most sectors, with the exception of construction, which recorded the highest growth (+13%, with 5,398 new businesses), and information and communication technologies (+5.3%). In terms of insolvencies, 1,327 new proceedings were registered, 1.3% more than the previous year, with real estate activities doubling insolvencies and accommodation and catering rising by 15%. Geographically, Lisbon, Faro and Funchal had the biggest drops in company creation, while only five districts, such as Porto and Santarém, bucked the trend. Closures, however, are decreasing: 7,802 companies closed since the beginning of the year and 14,483 in the last 12 months, 7.8% less than in the previous period.
