The Company for Development and Infrastructure of Alqueva (EDIA) will make available, in the 2026/2027 school year, a set of 35 educational activities integrated in the Alqueva goes to School program. These activities are aimed at students and teachers, with the objective of deepening knowledge about Alqueva, its resources, the surrounding territory and the transformations generated by the project.

The activities cover various areas of EDIA's work, allowing the exploration of themes such as water management, agriculture, land planning, renewable energy, environment and cultural heritage. In this way, the aim is to bring the school community closer to the Alqueva territory and its resources.

The Alqueva goes to School program represents an initiative by EDIA to promote education and awareness in schools about the impact of the Alqueva project on the region. The programmed activities aim to offer a practical and educational approach to the different sectors related to this development project.

Volkswagen Group is considering selling Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati

Volkswagen is considering selling Ducati, the Italian high-performance motorcycle manufacturer, as part of a comprehensive review of its vast portfolio. Audi's CEO, Gernot Döllner, confirmed that the Italian brand is among the 600 companies being analyzed, although nothing has been decided yet. Ducati, valued at around 1.25 billion euros, was acquired by Audi in 2012 and has been strengthening its position in MotoGP, with six consecutive constructors' championships since 2020. It sells approximately 50,000 units annually and generated, in 2025 alone, revenues of 925 million euros and an operating profit of 52 million euros. This potential sale is part of Volkswagen's broader effort to reduce its business portfolio and make Europe's largest car manufacturer more competitive, following the recent approval of a restructuring plan that includes cuts of about one-third of the portfolio.
