The Polytechnic University of Viana do Castelo and the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFSC) in Brazil are preparing two new double degree programs in Product Design and Electronics and Automotive Electrification. These new partnerships are expanding an already existing collaboration between the two institutions.

The current partnership already allows joint pathways in Computer Engineering and Cybersecurity, demonstrating a long-standing collaboration between the two higher education institutions.

The advancement in this cooperation was formalized during a visit that the Portuguese delegation made to Brazil, reinforcing the academic ties between Portugal and Brazil in these training areas.

Communication specialists consulted by +M analyze how the brand should manage this controversy, with José Franco (Corpcom) defending that the brand should not react to media pressure and that sponsoring a cultural event does not imply taking a political position, while Maria Domingas Carvalhosa (Wisdom Consulting) warns that prolonged silence is risky and that Meo's "Humaniza-te" tagline now functions as a reputational contract that demands consistency between what the brand says and what it does.
