The Algarve Senior Men's Football Selection made its debut in the UEFA Regions Cup with a convincing victory against the team from Gothenburg, Sweden. The match took place in Munkedal and ended with an expressive 4-1 in favor of the Algarve side.
At halftime, the match was tied at one goal each, but the Algarve team managed to dominate the second half and resolve the match in their favor, setting the final score at 4-1.
The goals for the Algarve team were scored by Afonso Calvinho, Afonso Reis - who scored a brace with two goals - and Francisco Coelho.
The next challenge for the Algarve Selection is scheduled for September 10, when they will face the English team from Cheshire in this European competition.
