Nothing from Virginia! Anitta invites Viviane Araújo to crown her at Grande Rio: 'Queen of queens'

extra8 September 2026 at 08:01

Anitta will be crowned as the new samba school queen of Grande Rio, which is located in Caxias. Initially, it would not be from Virginia Fonseca's hands that the singer would receive the crown. Anitta decided to invite Viviane Araújo to perform the crowning.

The invitation was sent to Viviane through David Brazil, who was also responsible for inviting the Powerful One for the position instead of the influencer. Anitta's choice fell on Viviane because she considers her the "Queen of queens."

Anitta's father, Mauro, and her brother, Felipe, are big fans of Viviane Araújo, who has been reigning at the Salgueiro drum section for 18 carnivals. The crowning is scheduled for this month.

Next Saturday, there will be the final of the school's anthem competition for the 2027 carnival, including an enredo samba.
