UA welcomed the Medical students

Diário de Aveiro8 September 2026 at 08:00

The University of Aveiro (UA) held yesterday a welcome ceremony for the Medical course students. The event marked the official start of the academic year for the students who are part of this training at the institution.

The ceremony featured the presence of multiple presidents of the Local Health Units (ULS) from the North and Centre zones of the country. The participation of these officials demonstrates the connection between the university and the health units in the region.

The Medical course at UA is an asset for the training of health professionals in the central region of the country. The presence of the ULS leaders reinforces the partnership between academia and the health sector.

This type of event aims to integrate the new students into the academic community and the clinical environment they will face during their training.
