The robotics company Figure, based in Sunnyvale, California, has developed humanoid robots that offer cleaning services for approximately 25 euros per hour. The robots are capable of performing household tasks such as wiping tables, putting objects back in place, and carrying items, demonstrating versatile home assistance capabilities.
The service launch is limited to an invitation-only system, which means ordinary consumers cannot yet directly hire the robots for their homes. This controlled initial approach allows the company to test and refine the technology before a possible expansion to the general public.
Figure, founded in 2021, has already reached a market valuation of 2.6 billion dollars, reflecting strong investor interest in humanoid robot technology. The company's CEO, Brett Adcock, has expressed optimism about the long-term potential of robots in the domestic market.
This development comes at a time when San Francisco has been an important hub for experimentation with robotic technologies, including autonomous vehicles and delivery robots. The city has become fertile ground for companies seeking to test innovative technological solutions in real-world environments.
