Russia resumed attacks against Kiev after a three-day pause. Strong explosions were heard in the early hours of this Tuesday in the Ukrainian capital, according to AFP journalists. The pause in attacks had been made to allow the visit of two envoys from the United States to the city.
The military administration of Kiev informed about a missile attack and asked residents to seek shelter, emphasizing that air defenses were activated. The missiles hit buildings in Kiev itself, as well as in the peripheral districts of Boryspil and Fastiv.
An AFP journalist observed columns of smoke and the lights of a fire resulting from the attack. This was the first attack directed against Kiev in three nights, after the end of the truce that had been established during the visit of the American envoys.
