The Portuguese Sports Confederation (CDP) today presented proposals to amend the Legal Regime of Sports Federations (RJFD). The main measures aim to strengthen the protection of national championships and ensure a more equitable distribution of revenues from sports betting.
These amendments come in a context of growing concern about the impact of betting on Portuguese sport and the need to preserve the integrity of national competitions. The CDP believes it is essential to ensure that the financial resources generated by betting are reinvested more fairly in the development of national sport.
The CDP's proposal represents an important step in the regulation of the sector, seeking to balance economic interests with the sustainability and fairness of sports competitions in Portugal.
