I Liga: Estoril Praia and Arouca close round with 'draw' at Amoreira

Notícias de Coimbra7 September 2026 at 22:42

Estoril Praia and Arouca drew 0-0 today in the final match of the fifth round of the Portuguese I Liga football, at a game held at the Amoreira. The result brought happiness to neither team, which continue without achieving their first victory in the competition this season.

Estoril Praia thus continues in a difficult phase of the season, maintaining the record of still not having won any match in the I Liga. The team failed to take advantage of the home factor to get the three points.

Arouca, for its part, also failed to earn the three points in this confrontation, although the point earned away from home could be considered useful for its overall standing in the championship.

This draw at the Amoreira closed the fifth round of the I Liga, leaving both teams with doubled motivations to try to achieve their first victory in the upcoming matches of the competition.
