ANSR alerts to the danger of speed near schools on the return to classes

The National Road Safety Authority (ANSR) launched this Monday the "Back to School" campaign, integrated in the initiative "There are no excuses big enough", to alert drivers to the increased risks near schools. The campaign highlights the impact of speed in case of pedestrian collision. According to ANSR, the likelihood of a pedestrian suffering fatal or serious consequences in case of being hit increases significantly with the vehicle's speed. The campaign aims to raise awareness among drivers about the need to reduce speed in school zones, especially during the back to school period.
