The municipality of Leiria approved today the creation of a financial line destined for private social solidarity institutions with residential facility capacity for the purchase of emergency generators.

The measure comes following the bad weather that has affected the region and aims to ensure that these institutions can maintain essential services operational during emergency situations.

Private social solidarity institutions that have residential facilities for elderly people in the municipality of Leiria may apply for this financial line.
