The Secretary-General of PS, José Luís Carneiro, insisted today that the Government is profiting from the fuel price increases. During a visit to the first Galiza fuel station, Carneiro stated that the Executive earned more than 1,048 million euros from the increase in fuel taxes since taking office in April 2024 until the end of 2025.
The socialist leader refused to comment on the PS's position regarding the motion of censure presented by the Chega party. This was the only reference to the motion of censure that appeared in the article.
Carneiro went to the Galiza station to "see with" the citizens the fuel situation, although the article appears cut off at this point, making it impossible to understand the rest of his visit or statements.
