The Ministry of Education is facing a situation where approximately two thousand positions in schools remain unfilled, representing a significant challenge for the start of the school year.
At the end of this week, another teacher placement competition will take place, in an attempt to fill the remaining vacancies and ensure that all classes have an assigned teacher.
Fernando Alexandre, the responsible for the Education portfolio, stated that there are teachers available in the market to occupy these positions, contradicting concerns about a possible shortage of professionals.
This new competition follows previous placement attempts, indicating that the process of allocating teachers to schools has shown difficulties in meeting all the needs of the education system.
