Russia has been increasingly resorting to jet-powered drones, a technology that represents a significant challenge for Ukrainian air defense systems. Isidro de Morais Pereira, an expert consulted on the subject, explained that these jet drones are harder to intercept compared to previous models.
According to the data presented, Ukraine managed to achieve interception rates of approximately 90% against Russian drones. This high percentage of success in neutralizing enemy aircraft demonstrates the effectiveness of the air defense systems currently implemented by Ukraine.
The technological advancement of Russian drones, with the transition to jet-powered models, constitutes a tactical adaptation aimed at overcoming Ukrainian defenses. This change reflects a technological arms race in the conflict between the two countries regarding the development and use of unmanned aerial vehicles.
