The Portuguese Government and the European Investment Bank (EIB) reached an agreement for a credit line aimed at the housing sector. The total amount agreed is 1.5 billion euros.
This funding aims to rehabilitate or construct approximately 50,000 social housing units in Portugal.
The first tranche of this agreement, worth 500 million euros, was signed this Monday, marking the beginning of the program's implementation.
This credit line comes as part of the Executive's efforts to meet housing needs in the country, particularly in the social housing segment.
