PSD considered that the motion of censure presented by Chega fell "from Mars in tumbles", in reference to the abrupt fall of the political initiative. The party noted that Luís Neves, a figure associated with the case, would have already given all necessary explanations about the situation.
Hugo Soares, on behalf of PSD, considered that the sole purpose of the motion of censure is "to keep deputy André Ventura in the media agenda", suggesting that Chega's initiative has motivations of political visibility and not technical substance.
Chega's motion of censure apparently aimed to politically pressure the Executive or oppose some governmental decision, but ended up losing force quickly after the explanations provided by Luís Neves.
PSD took the opportunity to reinforce that André Ventura's party failed to demonstrate solid grounds for the motion, in a scenario that it considered predictable given the nature of the initiative.
