They entered with 20 at U.Porto, but they know there is 'much to learn'

SAPO Notícias7 September 2026 at 19:27

Twenty students entered the University of Porto with the maximum grade of 200 points, representing a group of new "freshmen" who begin their academic journey at the institution. Among them are Constança, characterized by anxiety, Tiago, described as pragmatic, and Mariana, marked by enthusiasm, who exemplify the various emotions experienced by the thousands of students entering university at this time.

The three students acknowledge that they know "much to learn", demonstrating awareness that the academic path that begins brings new challenges and discoveries. This mixture of emotions - anxiety, pragmatism and enthusiasm - well represents what the new students of the University of Porto feel during this period of transition to higher education.

Entering university with the maximum grade of 200 points constitutes a distinction that marks the beginning of another stage for these young people, who now face the challenge of adapting to a new academic and social environment in the city of Porto.
