Início7 September 2026 at 17:12

The Municipal Chamber of Guimarães launched today the new service "Vai e Vem", a free and direct connection between the Multiusos Parking Lot and the Hospital of Guimarães. The service was created to offer an alternative access to the hospital unit and contribute to reducing road congestion in that area of the city.

The start of the service was marked with an inaugural trip that was attended by various entities, including the President of the Municipal Chamber of Guimarães, Ricardo Araújo, the Councilor for Mobility and Transport, Vânia Dias da Silva, the President of the Board of Directors of Vitrus Ambiente, Alexandre Barros da Cunha, and the President of the Board of Directors of Hospital of Guimarães, Pedro Cunha.

The creation of "Vai e Vem" results from an analysis carried out by the municipal management of the traffic conditions in the surroundings of the Hospital of Guimarães. The evaluation was carried out on the ground, namely with the monitoring of the Municipal Police, which allowed identifying the existing demand in that area of the city.
