More than 30 people were injured in four municipalities in Minas Gerais during this weekend due to strong winds and storms. In at least two incidents, structures built for events collapsed and left victims.
At Exposete 2026, thirteen people were injured on Sunday morning (6) after part of a structure built for shows fell. According to firefighters, at least three poles with signs couldn't withstand the heavy rain and a whirlwind. The injured were taken by firefighters, SAMU, and the event's ambulance, but none had serious injuries. Forensic experts were called to investigate the case.
Less than 24 hours earlier, on Saturday, another structure had already collapsed at the same event. In the first incident, twelve people had already been injured. The structure, located on the right side of the stage, provided access to the restrooms of one of the VIP boxes and gave way around 3am. The injured fell from the structure or were hit by the debris.
