Over 160 seniors from the parish of Gião participated in the Senior Tour organized by the Junta de Freguesia, in an initiative dedicated to active aging that mobilized the local community. The event, which has already become a tradition in the parish, continues to grow year after year, reinforcing the role of local communities in valuing their senior populations.

The morning was dedicated to visiting the city of Guimarães, where participants had the opportunity to explore some of the most emblematic points of the historic center. This was followed by lunch at Quintinha dos Queiroses, in Marco de Canaveses, a space that also hosted the afternoon of musical entertainment and moments of sharing among the parishioners.

The Junta de Freguesia de Gião highlights that the tour is part of social inclusion and well-being policies, promoting active participation of older residents and strengthening community ties. With this initiative completed, the parish reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting activities that bring generations together, contributing to a more participatory and integrated senior community.
