The European Commission announced a 200 million euro investment in Greenland, as part of an official visit to the Danish autonomous territory. The value will be destined for projects in the areas of connectivity, green energy and raw materials.
During the visit, a reinforcement of cooperation between the European Union and Greenland was also agreed upon. The president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, publicly defended Greenland's sovereignty, at a time when the territory has been the subject of growing geopolitical interest.
