Motion of censure by Chega to be voted on Tuesday

Observador7 September 2026 at 16:19

The motion of censure presented by the Chega party will be voted on next Tuesday.

For the motion to be approved, 116 deputies would need to vote in favor of it.

However, the Socialist Party (PS) has already announced it will vote against or abstain in the vote.

In this way, there is no possibility of the motion of censure being approved, since the right does not have the necessary votes in the Portuguese parliament.
