The Public Security Police (PSP) seized 43,205 doses of narcotic products in the operation carried out in Ponta Delgada, in the Azores. The police action also resulted in the detention of two men, both suspected of illicit drug trafficking.
The two detained individuals were brought before a court and were placed in preventive detention as a precautionary measure. The authorities continue to investigate the case to determine all the circumstances of the criminal activity.
Ponta Delgada, the capital of São Miguel island in the Azores, was the location chosen for this large-scale police operation against drug trafficking. The quantity seized of doses of illicit substances reveals the significant scale of the operation carried out by the PSP.
