Pierre Louis Costes and Namika Yamashita win Sintra Pro Fest

Frenchman Pierre Louis Costes won the Sintra Pro Fest for the sixth time, while Japanese Namika Yamashita won the women's competition. Both athletes were the big winners of the 30th edition of the event, which ended this Sunday at Praia Grande.

The Sintra Pro Fest is the oldest stage of the world bodyboard circuit and once again brought together some of the main names in the sport at the waves of Praia Grande. Organized by the Sintra City Council and the Sintra Coast Bodyboard and Surf Association, the event had the partnership of SMAS de Sintra, which contributed to the adoption of measures aimed at making the competition more sustainable.

In the men's classification, Pierre-Louis Costes finished in first place, followed by Uri Valadão from Brazil in second, and Armide Soliveres from Spain and Francisco Ferreira from Portugal in third place. In the women's, Namika Yamashita won first place, with Luna Hardman from Brazil in second, and Yuka Nishimura from Japan and Neymara Carvalho from Brazil in third.

The award ceremony was attended by councilors Andreia Bernardo and Eunice Baeta, the president of SMAS de Sintra, Rui Caetano, and the president of the Colares Parish Council, Pedro Filipe.
