the first edition of Tech Foundry Portugal – Deep Tech Edition has kicked off, a national acceleration program promoted by Startup Portugal in partnership with Hello Tomorrow and Porto Business School, which features 31 scientific and technological projects selected from a total of 98 applications. The projects cover areas such as health, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, climate and energy transition, advanced materials, nanotechnology, robotics and space. For three months, the teams will benefit from intensive acceleration in technological validation, business models and access to investors, with connection to the global Hello Tomorrow network that includes more than 5000 startups and 1300 investors specialized in deep tech. The Secretary of State for the Economy, João Rui Ferreira, highlighted that the program should contribute to promoting a cultural change in universities and research institutions, encouraging scientists and faculty to see the market as a way for science to serve society.
