Miguel Costa Matos, from the Socialist Party, and Fabian Figueiredo, from the Left Block, had their mandates suspended for short periods, according to information released by the Permanent Committee of the Assembly of the Republic.
Both deputies saw their mandate suspensions approved by the Permanent Committee, which is the body that functions during periods when the Assembly is not in plenary session.
The same Permanent Committee also approved, this time unanimously, the definitive replacement of socialist deputy Jorge Botelho by Vítor Guerreiro.
This unanimous vote contrasts with the suspensions of the mandates of Costa Matos and Figueiredo, whose specific periods are not detailed in the communique.
