The Municipal Market of Vila Real receives, throughout the month of September, a set of initiatives that combine art, animation and gastronomy, through the program "Mercado com Vida" (Market with Life). The programming was organized to attract public to the municipal market space.

The first activity takes place on September 12th, at 10:00, with the workshop "Art at the Market", led by Bea Maria. Participants are challenged to create and embroider hats, combining traditional techniques with creativity, humor and irreverence.

On September 19th, also at 10:00, the Market hosts Trio Partilhas for a moment of street animation. The performance includes music, magic and juggling, suitable for all ages.

The programming concludes on September 26th with "Cooking at the Market", conducted by D. Agostinha. Participants will learn to prepare codfish cakes, from making the dough to traditional shaping. Some activities have limited participation to 10 people and take place on the second floor of the Municipal Market.
