Two men were detained by the PSP on Sunday, September 6, in the area of Agualva-Cacém, on suspicion of involvement in a drug transaction. The operation was carried out by the 66th Cacém Police Station, during a preventive patrol action.
The officers detected four individuals involved in an apparent drug transaction. Upon becoming aware of the police presence, the suspects attempted to flee. During the intervention, the police saw one of the individuals abandoning a package containing a product suspected of being drugs.
The four suspects were eventually intercepted shortly after. During the inquiries, the PSP found in the possession of the participants 13 individual doses of hashish and 50 euros in cash. During the personal searches, the officers also found a knife with a 12-centimeter blade, which one of the suspects was carrying hidden in his pants.
Given the evidence collected, two of the individuals were detained and taken to the cells of the Lisbon Metropolitan Command, where they awaited presentation to the competent judicial authority.
