The Church of S. João, in S. João da Pesqueira, hosted the traditional Harvest Mass, a celebration that symbolically marked the start of the grape harvest season in the Douro. The ceremony was presided over by parish priest Filipe Rosa and included a tribute to the winegrowers and the work carried out throughout the year in the vineyards.
