Carris, Lisbon's public transport company, will receive 29 more electric buses. The vehicles represent an investment of 17.05 million euros.
The financing for the acquisition of these vehicles was secured through the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), the European funding program aimed at economic recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic.
This acquisition is part of a fleet modernization strategy for Carris, which has been gradually replacing diesel vehicles with more sustainable and environmentally friendly alternatives.
With the arrival of these 29 electric buses, the company reinforces its commitment to the decarbonization of public transport in the Portuguese capital.
