Fires concerned Madeira 20 years ago

The memories from 20 years ago are not the best for Madeira. Various fire brigades fought fires that caused displaced people and consumed several hectares of vegetation in the region.

The article goes back to September 2006, specifically to September 6th, when a fire broke out in a clearing near the prefabricated houses of the Bemposta neighborhood, in Água de Pena. The fire started after midnight.
