The 11th edition of Festival du Vent (Wind Festival) took place in Portiragnes-Plage, in the Occitanie region, in southern France, this Sunday (6). The event colored the sky and sand of the beach with dozens of giant kites in shapes of animals and characters, including blue whales, red dragons, manta rays and crocodiles.

The program also featured a "heroes village," a space dedicated to giant inflatables of characters like Deadpool and other superheroes, which attracted the attention of those present. Among the attractions, a huge kite shaped like a whale swayed in the wind, while a red dragon seemed to "roar" over the audience.

Participants brought their creations to the beach, where tourists enjoyed the last days of European summer sun. The event is held annually and celebrates the art of kites and giant kites in an outdoor setting.
