In China, a robotic "kindergarten" was inaugurated that explores self-learning for machines, going beyond human-directed training. The project investigates a new generation of robotic intelligence based on continuous learning.
In this new center, robots develop skills through their own experience, instead of being limited to reproducing human instructions and demonstrations. The approach seeks for machines to learn in a more autonomous and continuous way.
The main objective is to make robots learn in a similar way to how children develop skills, through exploration and their own experience, and not just through direct programming.
