Benfica are preparing their next steps in the transfer market and have their sights set on Mateus Mané, one of the most promising young players in European football. The 18-year-old athlete, a Portuguese youth international, plays for Wolverhampton, where he has established himself after leaving national football for Rochdale's youth academy in 2016. The eagles are closely monitoring the prodigy's development, but his signing does not appear straightforward.

The red and white structure faces strong competition from other heavyweight clubs. Sporting, Porto, Liverpool and Manchester United are also keeping a close eye on Mateus Mané's situation, according to Team Talk. The player's transfer fee is currently valued at high figures on the market.

Mateus Mané has already accumulated seven official matches this sporting season under the technical command of coach César Peixoto, who also oversees Hugo Bueno. Wolverhampton's management remains completely calm about the player's future, given that his contract with the English club is valid until 2029.
