The Lagos Municipality approved the Sports Support Program (PAD) for the 2026/2027 sports season, an instrument aimed at supporting the sports associative movement and promoting the development of sports and practices in the municipality. The planned total investment is 2,510,510 euros, with 1,760,510 euros in current expenditure and 750 thousand euros in capital expenditure.
The program includes financial and non-financial support, covering federative and associative activity, construction and equipment, event organization, innovation, and sports sponsorship. It also includes the free use of municipal sports facilities and spaces, the use of municipal transport, and technical and logistical support for activities and events.
The application period runs until October 15, with the municipality planning to allocate the first advance payment to entities whose application has been submitted and validated by municipal services. The sports area is considered by the municipality as important for promoting health, well-being, inclusion, and community participation.
In the 2025/2026 season, 47 applications were analyzed, corresponding to 41 collective entities and six individuals, with 47 Program Contracts formalized for a total of 1,833,125.36 euros in financial support.
