The XXIV Regata Internacional Canárias - Madeira 2026 concluded after five days of competition, with a crossing of approximately 262 nautical miles between Tenerife and Madeira. The competition was organized by the Clube Naval do Funchal in partnership with the Real Club Náutico de Tenerife, reinforcing the tradition of this event that connects the two archipelagos.
This year's edition was marked by the demanding ocean crossing, which tested the technical and physical capabilities of the participating crews. Despite the challenges posed by the route, the regatta also provided moments of camaraderie among the sailors upon arrival at the Madeira archipelago.
The event was highlighted by a new record set by the boat 'Sorcery', which achieved remarkable performance throughout the competition. The arrival of the vessels was celebrated at Quinta Calaça, providing a festive atmosphere for the closing of this edition of the regatta.
