The Almeirim Volunteer Firefighters launched a campaign to collect packaging under the Volta deposit system, inviting the population to deliver bottles and other packaging at the fire station. The initiative, under the slogan "Let the firefighter do it for you", allows citizens to contribute to the firefighters without having to go to the automatic collection machines.
The campaign transforms the deposit value of the packaging into a source of support for the corporation. Each bottle or packaging covered by the system represents a contribution of ten cents to the Almeirim Volunteer Firefighters, with the packaging delivered at the fire station to be subsequently deposited by the corporation itself.
Plastic and metal bottles and packaging covered by the Volta system can be delivered, as long as they are in condition for use in the collection machines. The campaign combines the environmental aspect with support for the corporation, allowing citizens to participate in recycling while supporting the firefighters.
