The trial of a homeless man who killed his partner inside the car where they both slept began in Loures. The defendant is accused of a femicide crime, having allegedly assassinated the victim with a bladed weapon inside the vehicle.
After the crime, the man fled to the Czech Republic, where he was located a week later. His identification and capture were made possible through a European arrest warrant, which allowed authorities to track his movements across borders.
The suspect was eventually extradited back to Portugal to be tried by the national judicial authorities. The trial is taking place at the Judicial Court of Loures, where the man faces the charges related to the death of his partner.
