"Citânia Viva" Returns to Briteiros on September 12

The event "Citânia Viva" returns to Briteiros on September 12, organized by Casa do Povo de Briteiros – IPSS, with sponsorship from the Municipality of Guimarães and support from the Sociedade Martins Sarmento and the Union of Parishes of Briteiros S. Salvador and Briteiros Santa Leocádia.

The program begins at 3:00 PM with a walk between the Castro Culture Museum and the Citânia de Briteiros, followed by a yoga session at 4:00 PM and an interpretive route through the ruins, fauna, and flora of the site at 4:30 PM, promoted by the Sociedade Martins Sarmento, Grupo Citânia, and the Landscape Laboratory.

The highlight of the afternoon is at 6:00 PM, with the performance of Sophocles' play "Antigone" by the Prof e Trolls theater group, at the acropolis of the Citânia. The "Citânia – Associação Juvenil" group will be present to bring the Castro daily life to life.

The day ends at 7:00 PM with a snack and gathering animated by the Allcateia group, also counting on the collaboration of various local groups in the organization of the event.
